Carrier Air Conditioning's ‘The Opus Plus’ air conditioner, developed by drawing on 120 years of technological expertise, is drawing attention in the home appliance market.

Carrier Air Conditioning's ‘The Opus Plus’ features artificial intelligence (AI) functions that enhance energy efficiency. Thanks to its high energy efficiency, it can reduce power consumption by 70% compared with the company's own Grade 1 energy-efficiency air conditioners. Notably, in this past May and June, sales rose 63% year on year, establishing it as a bestseller. In addition, ‘The Opus Plus’ is equipped with an 18-level air control function. Its environment-tailored AI operation, powered by AI algorithms, combines surrounding environmental data with flow-control technology to create a comfortable space while also boosting energy savings. The highly efficient three-dimensional (3D) diagonal-flow fan and the AI operation that controls airflow within a space can adjust between focused cooling and indirect cooling according to the indoor temperature. Another advantage is its use of the eco-friendly refrigerant R32, which makes it environmentally friendly. R32 refrigerant has an ozone depletion potential of 0, so it does not affect the ozone layer. It reduces energy consumption with a smaller refrigerant charge while still delivering excellent heat-dissipation performance. Beyond this, convenience is enhanced through features such as a minimalist design and circle mood lighting, along with OTA (Over The Air), a digital wireless update service, and Carrier Sync Cloud, the company's own smart home platform.

A Carrier Air Conditioning official said, “Our company has consistently introduced high-efficiency, high-quality products that concentrate unrivaled technological expertise into the home appliance market,” adding, “Going forward, we plan to actively expand our product lineup by incorporating changing trends and the latest technologies.” 158
