Air Purifier Made Just for Pets

LG Electronics has launched the ‘PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Pet Alpha Objet Collection’ for households with pets.

It is a dedicated pet model added to the lineup as the ‘PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha Objet Collection,’ introduced earlier this year, continues to gain popularity. As the number of pet-owning households has grown, LG Electronics has applied features such as a Pet Mode, a photocatalytic filter, and an attachable ultra-fine filter to its pet-dedicated models since 2019.

According to LG Electronics’ own testing, the new product’s ‘Pet Mode’ delivers airflow about 64% stronger than Auto Mode to clean the spaces where pets are active. The attachable ultra-fine filter allows pet hair and dust stuck to the filter to be easily removed, and the filter can be washed and reused.

Notably, the new product was confirmed to offer superior deodorizing performance compared with the existing ‘PuriCare 360° Alpha Objet Collection.’ In testing by the global testing and certification body TÜV Rheinland, the photocatalytic filter installed in this product removed about 55% more of the harmful gases accumulated in the filter—including ammonia, acetaldehyde, and acetic acid, the main components of pet waste odors—than the previous product.

In addition, LG Electronics stated that when an AI sensor is placed in and used together at spots where indoor air quality management is intensively needed, polluted air is detected about 5 minutes faster than when using the air purifier alone, after which the space is cleaned. The AI sensor, available for separate purchase, can be connected in quantities of up to three. The new ‘PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Pet Alpha Objet Collection’ has a cleaning coverage of 114㎡ and a shipping price of 1.99 million won.
