On September 1, Baekjo Sink opened Korea's first offline store specializing in sink bowls in Yonggye-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu.

Baekjo Sink's specialized offline sink bowl store is a space where consumers can see the products in person and select the sink bowl they want, and it is the first offline store dedicated to sink bowls. Until now, sink bowls have been chosen according to the decisions of interior and construction companies, leaving consumers with almost no opportunity to choose for themselves. However, in response to changes in the market—where interest in and discernment for sink bowls have grown through trends such as DIY interior design—Baekjo Sink created this space to give consumers the opportunity to check and select products for themselves.

With a concept built around the eco-friendly image that is one of the strengths of stainless steel, an eco-friendly material, this store lets visitors experience Baekjo Sink's diverse product lines. About 20 of Baekjo Sink's signature sink bowls are on display in the showroom, and visitors can also experience firsthand four types of surface-treated stainless steel countertop patterns that demonstrate Baekjo Sink's advanced technology: hairline (polished in a consistent direction), vibration (irregular finish), Baekjo Vibration, and special embossing (a patented embossing pattern).

△The 'Quiet Sink Bowl' minimizes the discomfort caused by the noise generated when water hits the stainless steel during dishwashing or the noise of dishes clashing, creating a better environment in which family members can carry on a conversation even while washing dishes. Special pads made with Baekjo's own patented technology are attached in a double-layer structure not only to the bottom of the sink bowl but also to its sides, minimizing the sink bowl's vibration and noise. According to Baekjo Sink's own testing, when water falling from the faucet strikes the surface of a standard stainless steel sink bowl, the existing product produces about 80 dB of noise when measured at a distance of 60 cm from the sink bowl, whereas the Quiet Sink Bowl reduced this by 25% to 60 dB—the level of ordinary conversation.

△The 'stainless steel countertop' introduced by Baekjo Sink has posted a steady growth, recording a 40% increase each year. Baekjo Sink has researched stainless steel countertops for kitchen furniture since the early 2000s, and in 2004 it launched the stainless steel furniture brand 'Rusky,' emphasizing the excellence of stainless steel kitchen furniture. In particular, Baekjo Sink's stainless steel countertops are handmade by stainless steel craftsmen with more than 30 years of experience, making their value shine even brighter. A 'Luxury Quality Certificate' proving that they bear the touch of craftsmen with long-accumulated know-how and skill is also included. Stainless steel countertops offer strong heat resistance and moisture resistance, allowing more versatile use, and because ingredients such as fish and fruit can be used directly on them without staining or contamination, they have the advantage of being hygienic.

In addition, visitors can also experience a variety of kitchen items, including imported sink bowls from Elleci—designed by Baekjo Sink and produced in Italy—as well as products from Apell, a 40-year-old specialist sink bowl company and an affiliate of the Italian style appliance specialist SMEG, along with stainless steel range hoods, cooktops, and faucets.

A Baekjo Sink official said, "Growing consumer interest in interior design is leading to interest in sink bowls, and we opened Korea's first offline store specializing in sink bowls to give consumers the chance to experience and choose sink bowls in person," adding, "Starting with the opening of this offline store, we plan to promote the excellence of Baekjo Sink products more actively." 070-4330-4726
