An optimal dry heating system for new spaces that require heating is drawing attention as it rapidly captures the relevant market on the strength of word-of-mouth from consumers who have used the product.
The 'Panel Heating Hydronic Heating System,' developed, manufactured and supplied by dry panel heating specialist Susanghan Nanbang (CEO Jeong Pan-seong), is a hydronic heating system that consumers can install themselves in any space that needs heating. Since its launch last year, it has earned recognition for its product quality, with an average of 10,000 units sold per month.
The greatest advantage of Susanghan Nanbang's 'Panel Heating Hydronic Heating System' is its outstanding thermal efficiency, which can cut heating costs by 30–50%. It also applies an in-house-developed BLDC (brushless DC) pump, making it quiet enough for the boiler unit to be installed indoors. In addition, the boiler unit — which has a built-in manifold — is compact in size for high space efficiency, allows separate left-right heating control, and can set the water temperature as high as 70 degrees, delivering higher-temperature heating than conventional hot-water mats.
Jeong Pan-seong, CEO of Susanghan Nanbang, said, "Hot-water mats that replace electric films and panels have become popular in response to consumers concerned about electromagnetic radiation, but hot-water mats cannot generate high-temperature heat, so consumers who prefer a warmer floor have voiced complaints." He explained the product's strengths: "The 'Panel Heating Hydronic Heating System' that Susanghan Nanbang produces and supplies raises the water temperature to 70 degrees to enable high-temperature heating, and its compact boiler using a BLDC pump can be installed directly indoors, so consumers who want heating equipment in small spaces such as mobile homes, farmhouses, camping cars, pensions and motels can easily install a heating unit."
The 'Panel Heating Hydronic Heating System' is assembled by laying hoses on top of hydronic panels, covering them with heat-diffusion plates, connecting an electric, oil or gas boiler, and then applying the finishing material. ▲The hydronic panels, made of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene), are heat-resistant and do not melt from the indirect heat of the high-temperature hot-water hoses; they are lightweight yet impact-resistant for high durability. The hydronic panels measure 900×900 mm and can be chosen in either 20 mm or 25 mm thickness depending on the floor's insulation condition. In addition to EPP hydronic panels, Susanghan Nanbang also produces and supplies boards with built-in aluminum piping. ▲The hot-water hoses are divided into PERT hoses for oil and gas boilers and EPDM hoses for electric boilers. Engineered for hygiene, workability and high-temperature durability, the hoses have a service life of at least 50 years and are noted for their excellent flexibility.
▲The boiler unit equipped with a BLDC pump has a built-in manifold for high space efficiency, and because it requires no separate piping connections, anyone can install it easily. The boiler unit allows separate left-right heating, and its parallel installation delivers heat quickly. In particular, the controller that manages its functions can be installed separately, so the boiler can be adjusted from any desired location. The company has also developed a central control system that can control 120 boilers at once, making it convenient for use in pensions and motels.
Susanghan Nanbang, which began by supplying hot-water mat controllers to Comfortec in 2014, has been supplying its own in-house-manufactured 'Panel Heating Hydronic Heating System' in earnest since last year, and has built a nationwide A/S (after-service) network to strengthen consumer trust. It currently introduces its products to consumers and interior/construction contractors through building expos and other events, and sells products through its online business division on both its own online mall and general online shopping malls. With more than 100 dealers and retailers nationwide, Susanghan Nanbang began by exporting 300 million won worth of products to China and is now pursuing contracts with buyers in Central Asia, Vietnam, Australia, Russia and New Zealand. The company expects sales of 2.5 billion won this year and anticipates 3–4 billion won in sales next year.
This coming November, the company plans to release new products including a medium-capacity boiler of 4–12 kW and an IoT-enabled model that allows on/off and temperature control via a smartphone application. CEO Jeong Pan-seong stated his aspirations: "By being the only company in Korea to manufacture every product in-house — from hydronic panels, hoses and heat plates to pumps, boilers and auxiliary materials — we have enhanced our products' stability and reliability," adding, "We will continue to strive even harder to develop the Susanghan (秀想韓) boiler with the most ideal and outstanding functions in Korea." 1577-2330
