IKEA is launching the 'SYMFONISK Wi-Fi lamp speaker' and 'picture frame speaker,' which combine design and quality.
The company explained that the 'SYMFONISK lamp speaker and picture frame speaker' were developed in partnership with sound specialist brand Sonos to help people enjoy high-quality sound at home at a reasonable price. Sonos is a world-leading sound specialist and the first company to develop multi-room wireless home audio. Building on their shared belief that music has a positive impact on life at home, IKEA and Sonos followed up last year's 'SYMFONISK Wi-Fi bookshelf speaker' by developing the new SYMFONISK products.
A key feature of the 'SYMFONISK lamp speaker and picture frame speaker' is an emotive design that blends naturally into home interiors. In particular, the 'picture frame speaker' can be hung on a wall or placed on a shelf, and its front panel can be swapped out for a variety of designs. The 'lamp speaker,' meanwhile, combines lighting and speaker functions; the speaker-lamp base and the lampshades made of materials such as glass, textile, and bamboo are sold separately, so users can combine styles and colors to suit their taste.
Stjepan Begic, product developer at IKEA's Product Development and Supply Global Headquarters, said, "Based on the idea that music is an important element that sets the mood of a home, IKEA developed the SYMFONISK product range to help create a more enjoyable life at home," adding, "We hope many people can create a smart and beautiful music-listening environment with SYMFONISK and fill their spaces with rich sound." Sara Morris, head of product management at Sonos, said, "SYMFONISK is a product that lets you enjoy both IKEA's home-furnishing design know-how and Sonos's outstanding sound," adding, "We hope that through SYMFONISK, more people can experience higher-quality sound at home."
The new products are available at all IKEA Korea stores (Gwangmyeong, Goyang, Giheung, and Dongbusan), the official online mall, and the Hej Order remote ordering service. 1670-4532
