Appiani is a tile company founded in 1873 with a long history, and today it is a mosaic specialist whose main products are mosaic tiles. Appiani does not simply manufacture mosaic tiles; what sets it apart is that it designs mosaic tiles imbued with its own distinct philosophy through in-depth research into color and material properties.
Its most recent release, the 'Denim' collection, is true to its name, studying 'denim' fabric to bring out its inherent charm through a variety of colors and diverse patterns. The Denim collection reinterprets the washing of denim fabric, and just as the jeans people actually love come in different shades, it reproduces a variety of washed colors, offering a rich palette so that consumers can choose the shade they prefer.
In Appiani's mosaic tiles, each individual tile is attached like a small grain to a mesh backing, making them applicable to a variety of elements such as exteriors and curved surfaces. They can be installed not only on ordinary walls and floors but also on building exterior walls and floors, as well as curved columns and furniture, giving them limitless usability. In addition, thanks to their anti-slip function, they can be effectively applied in bathrooms, swimming pools, resorts, and other places where water is used.
Younhyun Sangjae has been introducing Appiani's products to the domestic market ever since it came across the new Denim collection presented at the Cersaie tile fair in Bologna in 2018. In February this year, Younhyun Sangjae took part in 'Interior Design Korea 2019' held at KINTEX in Ilsan, where it exhibited Appiani's Denim collection and unveiled it to domestic consumers for the first time. Appiani products can currently be purchased by visiting Younhyun Sangjae's headquarters in Nonhyeon-dong or through telephone consultation.
Meanwhile, Younhyun Sangjae, founded in 1996, does not regard building materials such as tile, wood, and stone merely as finishing materials for interiors and exteriors; instead, it explores the properties these materials possess and is building Younhyun's identity both online and offline. In particular, Younhyun Sangjae is growing from a building-materials company into one that develops art & design cultural content. Younhyun Sangjae wants to be not a company that sells tiles, but one that talks about material properties and communicates with customers through stories of art and design. A Younhyun Sangjae representative explained, "The exploration of material properties is the foundation for advancing contemporary architecture," adding, "By continuing to experiment and make attempts that break away from conventional uses, Younhyun Sangjae will expand its own brand identity." 02-540-0145
