JinYoung Korea Co., Ltd. has announced that, keeping pace with the evolution of ceramic tiles, it is introducing new products reflecting the latest trends and will keep them permanently available in domestic stock.

In particular, these new products were planned so that JinYoung Korea—which throughout 2018 has focused on universality—can create fresh talking points by adding bold new products capable of driving change in the interior finishing materials market, on top of its existing stock lineup.

▲ ‘SECRET STONE,’ the latest collection from Cotto d’Este, faithfully captures the natural passage of time that can be felt in natural stone. Secret Stone is a limestone that has represented the Jerusalem region since ancient times, a stone brick known as the ‘Western Wall’ or the ‘Wailing Wall.’ Motivated by Jerusalem stone, which carries strong regional symbolism, ‘Secret Stone’ was developed with a focus on realistically reproducing the sedimentary layers of the raw stone accumulated over thousands of years, giving it outstanding design refinement. The surface design comes in a matte natural finish and a honed finish of the kind seen in premium natural stone, and it is available in domestic stock in 600×600㎜, 900×900㎜, and 600×1200㎜ sizes. ‘Secret Stone,’ which makes you feel that the boundary between tile and natural stone has broken down, showcases the state of the art in premium ceramic tile with the deep colors afforded by its 14㎜ thickness, its solid physical properties, semi-permanent antibacterial function, and durability backed by a 20-year warranty.

▲ Castelvetro’s new product ‘MORE’ is a wood tile that faithfully reproduces the wide-plank trend of solid wood flooring. It comes in two large wide-plank sizes, 260×1600㎜ and 400×1600㎜, and is supplied domestically in four colors ranging from white to dark brown. In particular, with actual solid wood flooring it is difficult to find sizes wider than 230㎜ in Korea due to issues such as stability, but the ‘MORE’ series is distinguished by the diversity it offers, going beyond the limits of design. The product can be applied broadly not only as flooring but also as wall finishing material in a variety of settings such as lobbies, art walls, corridors, and hotel-style bathrooms.

▲ CEMENT PROJECT is a flagship collection that has led the upscaling of concrete design, one of the new-product trends of 2018, realizing the exposed-concrete finish with plank-form textures—popular in Korea as well—in an ultra-large 1000×3000×5.5㎜ slim tile. ‘Cement Project’ dramatically reduces the effort and cost required to achieve a clean finish in exposed-concrete construction, while also providing ease of maintenance. The product imported into Korea has the plank-exposed-design WORK finish, and it can be used to create curved surfaces with a radius of up to 5 meters, either horizontally or vertically. In addition, alongside the slim tile, a 20㎜-thick 600×1200㎜ size is also supplied, making it usable for a variety of purposes such as terraces, rooftop gardens, outdoor swimming pools, access floors, and building exteriors.

▲ ‘METAL,’ a new product in Cotto d’Este’s ‘Kerlite’ slim tile line, reproduces the metal steel-plate texture that is a signature design of slim tiles, with a more sophisticated feel. The recently popular metal steel-plate finish mainly uses black steel plate and Corten steel, but over time these rust and become soiled, imposing constraints on their use in residential or upscale spaces. The ‘METAL’ slim tile overcomes the drawbacks of metal steel plate with its semi-permanent antibacterial function, durability guaranteed for 20 years, and a distinctive softness that is eco-friendly and appeals to human sensibilities. Rendered with colors expressed through deep softness and natural patterns, it enables modern, minimal styling without the coldness of metal. 02-416-0417
