LG Electronics has launched its next-generation TROMM washer, dryer, and WashTower featuring Objet Collection design and artificial intelligence technology.
The new lineup highlights the following features: ▲a DD (Direct Drive) motor built into the dryer ▲more powerful AI technology ▲TrueSteam created by boiling water ▲clean, harmonious interior design for the space ▲a Mini Wash that can be attached beneath the washer or dryer.
LG Electronics announced that it has applied the DD motor to a dryer for the first time in the world with this new product. The DD motor is a core component that LG Electronics first applied to washing machines in 1998, an industry first. Unlike an ordinary motor connected by a belt, it connects the wash drum and the motor directly, allowing precise control of the drum's rotation speed, and when combined with AI technology that detects the fabric of the garments, it delivers a variety of washing and drying methods. The new product implements optimal movements similar to the way laundry dries in nature—such as shaking, spreading, hanging, fluttering, swaying, and flipping—through '6 Motion Drying.' In addition, an infrared sensor is also built in, so the drying status can be checked by sensing the temperature of the garments even when the laundry does not touch the sensor directly. Furthermore, AI technology has been extended to the dryer. In the new product's AI Drying course, the dryer detects the weight and uses deep learning technology to recognize the fabric of the garments, determining the drying time and optimal movements.
The washing performance of the LG TROMM Washer Objet Collection has evolved with more powerful AI technology. The AI Wash course goes beyond having the washer recognize the fabric of the garments through deep learning technology to also measure the level of water contamination caused by washing. The new product also features TrueSteam, created by boiling water. Applied to a range of LG steam appliances and recognized for its distinctive convenience, TrueSteam is effective not only for deodorizing and sterilizing but also for reducing wrinkles in fabrics. Design and convenience have also been enhanced. This new product is released in Objet Collection colors such as Nature Beige and Nature Green, allowing it to harmonize with the overall interior of the home. Moreover, a Mini Wash top-load washer can be attached beneath the washer and dryer, making it convenient to use as a TwinWash that enables simultaneous or separate washing.
