Hyundai Livart is unveiling a dining table featuring a premium Italian ceramic top. Starting with this new product launch, Hyundai Livart plans to make a full-scale move into the total interior business by developing B2C furniture products that use ceramic tile, alongside rolling out a B2B distribution business.
The new 'Soiree Dining Table Series' is Hyundai Livart's first product to feature 'FLORIM Stone,' a premium product from FLORIM, one of the world's top three ceramic tile companies. Earlier, Hyundai Livart announced that it had signed an exclusive domestic sales agreement with Italy's FLORIM for 'FLORIM Stone' and would establish Korea's first ceramic processing center.
Ceramic tile is an eco-friendly interior material made by combining sand, water, and other ingredients. 'FLORIM Stone Porcelain' is produced through a high-temperature, high-pressure compression process at over 1,300 degrees—more than 40% higher than that of ordinary ceramic tile. As a result, it offers outstanding durability and hygiene, and is recognized as a premium material in the global interior market.
The ceramic top applied to the newly unveiled 'Soiree Series' is notable for being 3 to 4 times thicker than the tops of ceramic dining tables currently sold in the domestic furniture industry. Most ceramic dining tables manufactured by domestic furniture makers use a 3㎜-thick ceramic top bonded to 8–10㎜ of tempered glass, whereas this 'Soiree Dining Table Series' applies a solid 12㎜-thick ceramic top. Despite using a solid ceramic top, the selling price is comparable to that of conventional ceramic dining tables. The Soiree Series has a double-top structure, with a wooden top attached beneath the 12㎜-thick ceramic top. It comes in two sizes: 4-seater (1,400㎜ wide) and 6-seater (1,798㎜ wide). The top is available in five colors, including Marble Calacatta and Stone Black, and the table legs come in two colors, white and black. The selling price (chairs sold separately) is 1.05 million won for the 4-seater and 1.35 million won for the 6-seater, available at all Hyundai Livart stores and online malls such as Livart Mall (mall.hyundailivart.co.kr).
Starting with this 'Soiree Dining Table Series,' Hyundai Livart plans to launch at least four new ceramic dining table products this year. It also plans to introduce kitchen furniture products featuring ceramic tops during the first half of the year. In particular, the company intends to actively pursue its B2B distribution business, including proposing the supply of ceramic tile as interior/exterior and built-in materials to high-end apartment redevelopment complexes, centered on Seoul's Gangnam area. 02-3480-8000
