'Built-in Plus,' launched by Hanssem, is a distinctive interior product—a storage system that makes extensive use of the spare, leftover spaces in the home. Hanssem's 'Built-in Plus' works by installing pre-built modules fitted to specific measurements, without the need for separate construction work. The modules are subdivided according to five different spaces: the living room, bedroom, children's room, dining area, and entryway. As a result, installation can be completed in just one day, and a key advantage is that the units can be relocated and reinstalled even when moving house.
For those who prefer a clean look, the storage cabinets can be fitted with sliding rails or push-to-open doors so that items are hidden from view. Narrow gaps and leftover spaces where it is difficult to place a display case or storage cabinet can be turned into a powder cabinet, while rooms or spaces that were hard to find a use for can be configured as a dressing room.
According to Hanssem, 'Built-in Plus' surpassed 7 billion won in cumulative sales in just over four months since its launch. The average month-over-month growth rate has been in the 70% range. Sales grew 70% in May compared to April, 50% in June compared to May, and 90% in July compared to June. Hanssem attributes this growth momentum to rising demand from consumers who own a lot of household goods yet pursue the minimalist, simple lifestyle that has become a recent interior trend. In fact, Hanssem's analysis of 'Built-in Plus' customers found that households in their 30s and 40s with elementary, middle, and high school children accounted for about 60% of buyers—outweighing newlywed couples, who tend to own relatively fewer household goods.
A Hanssem official said, "Because it is a customized product that concentrates our home interior know-how, it is showing steep growth even in the early stages of its launch," adding, "Since it can be linked with our existing businesses, it will broaden the range of choices available to our customers." 1688-4945
