Hanssem announced the launch of its 'Hood-Cooktop Integrated System,' a product co-developed with global home appliance brand Electrolux.
Developed by the Device Development Team at Hanssem's Living Environment Technology Research Institute, this integrated system is a package system in which the cooktop and hood are linked to exchange information in real time, so that when the cooktop is used, the hood's airflow, lighting, and power are automatically adjusted. It uses an IR sensor (infrared) method that requires no internet connection, and connects automatically upon installation without any separate connection such as Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
An IR sensor transmitter is built into the cooktop and a receiver is built into the hood, so that simply turning on the cooktop power automatically turns on the hood lighting, and during cooking the hood's airflow is automatically adjusted according to usage. When cooking is complete, the lighting automatically turns off, and after the contaminated air in the ducting is exhausted, the hood also turns off automatically. △The induction cooktop adopts an indirect heating method that transfers heat only to the pot rather than direct heating, reducing the risk of fire, and minimizes energy loss with 90% thermal efficiency. △The hybrid cooktop is composed of two induction zones and one radiant zone, designed so that induction is used primarily, with only cookware that does not work with induction being used on the radiant burner.
The Electrolux Hanssem exclusive model applies a wide premium ceramic top that is 10㎜ wider than ordinary electric cooktops, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. In addition, Hanssem's power control system is applied, so that unlike conventional imported electric cooktops that are a plug type without a separate earth leakage breaker and can use only up to two zones, three zones can be used smoothly. This Hood-Cooktop Integrated System is a Hanssem-exclusive product available for purchase only through Hanssem stores. The integrated system can currently be experienced at Hanssem's large showrooms, including those in Jamsil, Hanam, Nonhyeon, Gwangju, and Bundang.
An official from Hanssem's Living Environment Technology Research Institute said, "The integrated system Hanssem is introducing this time is a system that allows anyone to easily experience Hanssem's kitchen appliance package without the complicated usage of having customers or installation technicians connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth," adding, "Going forward, through co-development with the global home appliance brand Electrolux, we will continue to supply product appliances specialized for Hanssem kitchens, from design to functionality."
Meanwhile, Hanssem and Electrolux introduced this new product through co-development, following the release of four cooktop models and two hood models this past January.
